You already know, if you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, it’s time to collaborate. Yes, that’s my take on that old African proverb, but I thought it was apropos because it’s what we’re talking about today! As we prepare to wind our series and our season down, we cannot ignore God’s instruction to collaborate with others.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tell us: Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Ya’ll, this verse is real! I cannot tell you how many times I would have ended the mission God gave me prematurely, specifically concerning the nonprofit, The Colorfully Candid Paradigm, if I had not had friends to help me up when I stumbled.

Stumbling isn’t always a big thing. It can take on the form of boredom, overwhelm, uncomfortable conversations, or just a disinterest, but so can spiritual warfare. Thankfully, our collaborations help us to recognize that unless we have a sense of peace about putting a period at the end of the sentence God meant to put a comma on, we better level up and keep going.

I had so much fun chatting with Natalie, and I am so grateful for the time and wisdom that she shared with us.

This Conversation was Fun!

  • how friendship and collaboration work together;
  • how to maintain healthy boundaries in a collaboration;
  • how to communicate clearly;
  • how to recognize warning signs it’s time to end the collaboration;
  • and what to do when you don’t feel peace about a collaboration.

Enough said. Press play.
