God Loves to Partner with Women
I once met someone who shared she didn’t like reading the Old Testament, and I get it. There are parts of the Old Testament that show just how far and disobedient Israel had grown from God. Nowhere is that more evident than through the ways that women are treated-particularly in the book of Judges.
Thankfully, however, God continues to redeem women, and one of the places He does that most is through the books of 1 and 2 Samuel where we meet women like Hannah, Abigail, the Wise Woman from Tekoa, and then on into 1 Kings with Bathsheba.
The Lord loves women and He makes bold statements, both about our worth and our work, throughout the Bible. I pray you find a few scriptures that motivate your work.
Today, we’re reflecting on Proverbs 31:30-31 (NIV)
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Women You Should Know
