My sweet friend, Molly Wilcox, is here to join us today as we talk about her beautiful blog and the new book that she’s written, and I cannot wait for you to meet her. God is calling you to enjoy greater depths of intimacy with Him, but there are a variety of obstacles that stand in our way from boredom to disappointment, and we’re talking a few of them today.
Psalm 42
Today, we’re reading Psalm 42 (NIV) over one another as we begin to get into this conversation.
As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
3 My tears have been my food
day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
“Where is your God?”
4 These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go to the house of God
under the protection of the Mighty One[d]
with shouts of joy and praise
among the festive throng.
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

Meet Molly
Molly is an author & coach living in Franklin, TN (just south of Nashville), but she is originally from the Chicago suburbs and will never pass up a good piece of pizza. Her first book “How Much More?” is available now everywhere books are sold, and she fell in love with studying and writing about God’s Word when she began researching scripture engagement for BibleGateway. This love led her to a role as a contributing writer for The Abide Bible and the rest is history.
Molly sends out a free email devotional weekly, and it is the thing that keeps her up at night, pulls her off the couch and away from the drama of The Bachelor, and makes her lose track of time. Molly is passionate about teaching others how to lean into the promises of God, and live purposed, equipped, and brave. She’s going to help you forget the fluff and get to the good stuff—the saving news of the gospel, and the power and authority we have access to. God’s best for you is better than you think.
