Sis, it’s time that we had a conversation about Godly Ambition. This season we are studying productivity tips from the Bible, and it’s time to talk about the elephant in the room. Together, we are prioritizing the meaningful above the millions of things this world tells us we should be doing. But that is impossible without looking at the heart of the reasons we want to succeed.

I Appreciate the Honesty

I truly appreciate and honor how each of my guests invite us into some of the most vulnerable moments of the growth they’ve experienced on this journey with Jesus. Today, we’re talking about how to put in checks and balances to ensure we’re not allowing our pride to control us. Brace yourself though. We’re not stopping there. We are also talking about what to do when you feel the grief of a dream that may not be fulfilled.

Yikes!

May I ask you a question? What if following Jesus leads us to a place where we are required to forfeit everything? Are we willing to remain in relationship with Him? Torrie has come through to remind us that we don’t have to live in the middle of the yet any longer because God has never failed us and He will never fail us. There is beauty and growth here. Y’all, Jesus is working in this place. Let’s stop looking to the next one and begin to enjoy this one more intentionally.

This episode was definitely filled with information. You should listen in if you want to recognize:

  • the purpose of Godly ambition;
  • the connection between ambition & humility;
  • ways to protect yourself from your pride;
  • the importance of inviting God to redefine your personal ambitions;
  • and what to do when you feel the grief of an unfulfilled dream.

Torrie is writer, speaker, aspiring author. Relationships are her thing! She loves connecting with others, hearing their stories and seeing God do his thing. As a Mixed Race woman, she understands the struggle to embracing your identity. She passionately helps women, families and students embrace the skin they’re in as they begin to see themselves and others like Jesus does.

When she’s not writing or speaking, she can be found with her husband and kids enjoying a trip to Disneyland, cheering on her Vegas Golden Knights or watching a true crime mystery or musical…depending on her mood.
