Sooo….I definitely low key stalked Heather Thompson Day, our guest today, and I have a feeling that you’ll have a little giggle at my expense when you listen in. However, may I just say that this book, It’s Not Your Turn, blessed my life? I want to encourage you to pick it up because I believe that it will encourage your heart in the middle of your waiting season.
After all, aren’t we all waiting on something? How are you spending your time while you’re waiting on your breakthrough? What might your ability to wait well say about your ability motives in this moment?
I have found that it is a lot easier to steward the present moment well when we focus on our ability to give God the glory in season and out of season than if we just get caught up focusing on what we hope to get out of our forward movement.
If you have a moment, check out 2 Timothy 4:1-5. Paul encourages Timothy to be prepared in season and out of season, and, if we ever needed to be present and prepared, that time is now. According to the Pew Research Center, sixty-nine percent of female Christians have now incorporated at least one new age practice into their lives, and I can’t help but think that many of our sisters are turning away because they’ve grown restless with waiting on the Lord.
Just in case you’re struggling in the middle of your waiting season, I want you to know that I am here for you, and so is Heather.
